The Do’s & Don’ts When Caring for Your Resin Charcuterie Boards or Artwork
✅ Do:
Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. After use, gently wipe your board or artwork with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Mild dish soap is okay—just be sure to rinse and dry thoroughly.
Store in a cool, dry place. Resin can warp or become damaged in extreme temperatures or humidity. Keep your piece away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Use parchment paper or small dishes when serving food. While the resin is food-safe once fully cured, using a barrier protects both the art and your food from potential staining.
❌ Don’t:
Do not cut directly on the resin. Resin is durable, but sharp knives can scratch or damage the surface over time.
Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on it. Excessive heat can soften or distort the resin. Always use trivets or protective layers.
Don’t soak or run under water. Prolonged exposure to water can damage the wooden base and loosen the bond between the wood and resin.
And most importantly, DO NOT put your board or artwork in the dishwasher.
